Privacy Policy

Overview

SayCloud is a Chrome extension that provides delayed auditory feedback (DAF) for speech fluency. Your privacy is fundamental to how we built this tool — the current version collects no personal data.

Microphone Access

SayCloud requires microphone access to function. Your audio is processed entirely on your device in real-time using the Web Audio API. Audio is never recorded, stored, transmitted, or sent to any server. The microphone stream is used only to generate delayed playback through your headphones.

Data Collection

The current version of SayCloud does not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Audio or voice data
  • Personal information
  • Usage analytics or telemetry
  • Cookies or tracking data
  • IP addresses

Local Storage

SayCloud stores your preferences (delay time, volume settings, theme) locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the extension.

Third-Party Services

The current version of SayCloud uses no third-party services, APIs, analytics, or tracking tools. There is no backend server. The extension runs entirely client-side.

Children's Privacy

Since SayCloud does not collect any data, there are no special concerns regarding children's privacy. The extension can be safely used by people of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in the extension or applicable regulations. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
